Natural products chemistry

Natural products chemistry remains an important part of our scientific activity. We were involved in different areas of this intriguing science, e.g. by studying some chemical transformations of vindoline.

Also, during our collaborative research we investigated the metabolism of N-acylated dopamine derivatives (with Prof. Mieczysław Pokorski).

We also studied enzyme inhibition by imperatorin analogues (with Prof. Anna Kiss).

We are involved in the investigation of oxidation of selected terpenoids (with Prof. Ewa Świeżewska), and biochemistry of melatonin and its oxidation products (with Prof. Russel J. Reiter).
